Win a Trip to Paris for your WHOLE CLASS

Calling all Year 7’s!

The Franco-British Council is running a fabulous film competition for Year 7 children with the generous support of Eurostar. Individuals or classes are invited to make a 3 minute film on France or why they want to go to France and upload it to YouTube. The prize is a day trip to Paris for the whole class courtesy of Eurostar and the Franco-British Council.

The aim of the competition is to stimulate interest in France and French amongst 11 and 12 year olds and give pupils the opportunity to demonstrate their creative skills.

The competition organisers are looking for films appealing films in any style and there’s no need to feel you need to be an expert. You could make a short news report or film an interview or even produce a drama or comedy sketch! It is entirely up to you. Further information can be found in the documents on the right.

Top Tips:

  • Be creative and have fun with your ideas. Try and make your film entertaining and informative.
  • Entries that make creative use of limited resources are very welcome
  • Don’t think you have to go to France and make a beautiful film with lots of high tech equipment.
  • Pupils who write and produce their whole film in their classroom or school playground in a lively and appealing way are just as likely to win.

Final Checks:

Upload your film to YouTube and make sure you put ‘Franco British Council film’ in the title. Send the link to your film to the FBC and we will distribute it to the judges.

The competition is now open and entrants are asked to register their interest as soon as possible to : (individual pupils can enter as well as a whole class together).
