Secretary of State visits First Light project
11 August 2010
The Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt, MP took time out of his busy schedule to visit a First Light project in Farnham last week.
The young people are working on a short film examining issues that are relevant to their lives. They are working alongside industry professionals and are involved with every aspect of the production process from drawing storyboards and writing the scripts to directing and lighting the films. The project is designed to equip them with a range of technical and social skills that will enable them to positively contribute to their community and wider society . There was an opportunity to put their technical skills to the test when they had the opportunity to interview the Secretary of State.
After the visit, Jeremy said “It was great to see so many young people enthusiastic about filmmaking and getting to grips with all the lingo and technicalities. I hope I get to see the finished result.”
