International Children’s Film Festival, Bangladesh

International Children’s Film Festival, Bangladesh

This year will see the 6th International Children’s Festival of Bangladesh.

The festival aims to open a new world of cinema to the children of Bangladesh and expose them to the culture and traditions of different countries through film.

The Children’s Film Society Bangladesh uses film as a tool of learning and entertainment.

As a part of it’s regular activities, the society organizes monthly screenings and sessions of children’s films from around the world for its members, alongside filmmaking workshops

This year’s festival will be held in January 2013 in Dhaka and other parts of the country.

A selection of First Light films are to be shown at the festival and team member Dan has been invited to attend the festival in connection with British Council Film to host a session on young people’s filmmaking in the UK. He’ll be informing people about First Light’s work, exhibiting some great films created by young people and talking about some of the amazing achievements of First Light projects.

We hope to bring you more insights from the festival next week so watch this space.
