4Talent in partnership with Nesta are excited to annouce the launch of Inspiration Day- Manchester.

Inspiration Day Manchester is a unique event which we are organising for 11 to 14 year olds living in the North West of the UK. You will attend one half day session which is designed to give you an all-round view of our industry, helping you understand the different roles within the media. It’s all about inspiring you. We will showcase the skills experiences and attitude you need to progress, if you are already thinking about wanting to work in the media.

We will cover areas including:

Acting
New Media – Video Games
Radio
Journalism

When is it?

Thursday 26th August 2010
From 8.45-12.45, or 13.00-16.15

Inspiration Day Manchester is aimed exclusively at 11 to 14 years olds who are already passionate about breaking into the media industry in the future and live in the North West of the UK.

Who is it aimed for and what are we looking for?

Do you have a natural raw talent?
Does your talent set you apart from the crowd?

If you can answer yes to both of these’s questions then that’s all we need to know. At 4Talent we do not lay down too many ‘must haves’. The more diverse group of individuals we get the better!

With a maximum of 150 people attending over the 2 sessions. The half day will give to the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of activities including interactive sessions, talks with media professionals.

The Application Process
Applications open on Monday 10th May 2010 and close at midday on Friday 18th June 2010.

After you have attended the day and gained a real insight into the different types of roles in the industry and where-perhaps-you fit in or your talents lie, we the 4Talent team will keep in touch with you, offering information on other initiatives, programmes and opportunities available.
