FLIP Call for Submissions: Young Animators

FLIP 2010 takes place on 4 – 6 November and the festival organisers would like to invite young animators to submit work for consideration in the short film screening sections. To be eligible, filmmakers must be 18 years or under. Closing date is 9 July. The festival includes awards and prizes in a number of categories, including Stop Motion, 2D and Best Film.

Now in its 7th year, Flip is an award winning animation festival run by Light House Media Centre, taking place at venues in Wolverhampton and Birmingham. The festival has an international profile and last year received over 250 film submissions from 26 different countries. The festival partners with a wider range of high profile organisations, including Channel 4, BAFTA, UK Film Council, Screen WM, Toon Boom and Stop Motion Pro, and attracts award winning and internationally renowned speakers and contributors from the UK and abroad.
