Filmmmaking Competition

Win a trip to New York!

The 9/11 Education Project is offering students aged 14 – 16 the chance to win a trip to New York this September 8-12th which will include a visit to the 9/11 Memorial.

They are looking for submissions of short films (3 – 7 mins long) that can answer the following questions:

  • HOW DID 9/11 CHANGE THE WORLD?’

or

  • WHY AND HOW WOULD YOU KEEP THE MEMORY OF 9/11 ALIVE IN THE UK?

The winner will be chosen by an expert judging panel which includes Kevin Spacey CBE, Artistic Director of the Old Vic Theatre and Oscar winning actor, Simon Schama CBE, historian and broadcaster, and Professor Chris Husbands, Director, the Institute of Education, London University.

The competition is open to all UK students between the ages of 14 and 16 from now until 31st May 2013.

The 9/11 Education Programme is designed to help students learn about 9/11 and related events in five curriculum subjects: History, Citizenship, RE, English & Drama and Art & Design.
