A brilliant film with such a lot achieved in a relatively short time. The tension was built up well, leaving a lot to the imagination. Looking forward to future films from Katy Ruffy

This is a terrific archetype of the classic low-budget, black & white horror movies that were so common in the 50's film industry. The set is extremely impressive, an incredibly detailed and accurate representation of a an American mid-west diner and the cast equally as convincing. The adroit and clever editing suggests a "film noir" style which engages the audience into a feeling of suspension and tension as the activities of Ted and his gang become more intense. Certainly the tension created in the last few minutes is striking for such a young film maker and in such a short film. Furthermore the soundtrack is very apt, reflecting the plot and emotion of both the characters and the film as a whole. Overall a unique and captivating film, produced at a very professional level.

This film is utter genious, for a person of such young age. The music has been picked carefully and helps build up suspense. The lighting can not be faultered and creates such an impact. Good choice of settings, effects and characters who help to keep up the tension and suspense. Wow, what a film, for a person ofsuch a young age. Good luck with the nomination and I hope to see more from Katy Ruffy in the future.

Riveting viewing , suspense real and prolonged. Excellent , appropriate choice and use of music in a gritty 1950's setting with clever use of lighting and good typecasting particularly in Ted , Chuck.and Catherine. An amazing achievement for one so young. Katy seems a real talent in the making. This young lady should not be missed!

Very good choice of black & white for this film, giving it a real 'noir' atmosphere. Suspenseful to the end, which must be very difficult to achieve for one just starting out as Katy is. The overall effect bodes well for the future of this promising newcomer to the challenging world of film direction. Looking forward to viewing any follow up films, and wish her good luck for the future.

I have finally got round to watching your film (apologies its so late - I have a terrible memory) and tought it was fantastic. Everything a classic horror film needs: one villan, some suspense and a meat clever! I wish you the best of luck for the future - not that you will need it.
