The host for this year’s ceremony is now confirmed as Radio 1’s Nick Grimshaw aka ‘Grimmy’
Passionate about new music, Nick Grimshaw presents the prestigious 10pm-midnight show, weekdays on BBC Radio 1 as well as co-hosting the Sunday evening 10-midnight slot alongside Annie Mac.
An Oldham boy, 26 year old Grimmy started out as a radio plugger and DJ promoter. At 22 he began to present for E4 Music and the Channel 4 morning music show “Freshly Squeezed”. Since then he has co-hosted 3 series of the BBC2 music show Sound with his radio partner in crime Annie Mac, and fronted Channel 4’s coverage of the NME Awards and Orange Rockcorps. In 2009 and 2010 he presented BBC1’s Switch Live Awards.
He is currently part of the T4 presenting team and hosts “The Album Chart Show” for Channel 4.
