Film Nation: Shorts Project Assistant

Laura is responsible for assisting Jo with the Film Nation: Shorts project at First Light and helps her to organise filmmaking workshops across the nation for 14-19 year-olds. The workshops help young people to create films that are inspired by the Olympic and Paralympic games and are then entered into an online competition. Laura gained a degree in English and Media Studies and since graduating has done various work placements with PR and Events companies and worked for the charity Action for Blind People for six months. This helped her realise that she wanted to continue working for a charity and helped develop her extraordinary organizational skills!
