Formerly Academic Leader for Performance & Media at London Metropolitan University Alby also heads up a feature film and television drama script development programme called Sediba in South Africa. His career was first in theatre and during 25 years he has produced, directed and written a large number of notable theatrical and radio plays. His work on feature films and television dramas started in the mid-90s. His scholarly work includes writing articles and reports or lecturing on diversity in the arts and media and on improving the quality of UK films. He has been a member of Screen Yorkshire’s board since December 2002.
